Member of the Decision & Control Development Team responsible for designing, simulating, and implementing automotive estimation and control algorithms.  Design, implement, and test algorithms using model-based development and C++. Implement control algorithms in MATLAB/Simulink and C++, and test in real-time systems in vehicles and simulation environments.  Design and perform vehicle tests to verify control system performance and robustness. Design and perform system calibration methods. Follow defined software development and documentation steps.  Support regional customer discussions.  Develop advanced algorithm for autonomous vehicle features for future model year products.  Design and write state of art motion planning algorithm in C++ under Linux environment. Implement variety of optimization methods and state machine for autonomous decision and control feature algorithms.  Team with sensor and perception engineers to design end to end algorithm system architecture.  Working in a team environment, make significant contributions to the creation and implementation of active safety features for autonomous vehicles, advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). Conduct in-vehicle testing and system debugging on prototype vehicle platform. Use of MATLAB/Simulink, C++ programming, Python, Linux.


Bachelor Degree or Higher

Mission Planning, Route Planning, Motion & trajectory planning techniques (A*, D* and RRT/RRT*)

Optimization-based planning

Robotics experience

Strong C++ programming skills 

Comfort in Linux environment 


Beneficial skills and experience include automotive embedded software experience, familiarity with vehicle dynamics and kinematics, experience in requirements development, unit testing, software integration.  Prior experience with AD/ADAS automotive, aerospace or related experience.Additionally, experience with ROS, Machine Learning, and control theory is beneficial.
