Our Localization Team is looking for a Simulation Verification Engineer! The Localization Team at Zenuity develops algorithms that use sensor (camera, RADAR, LIDAR, Ultrasonic, IMU, GPS, etc.) data to determine the position and orientation of the autonomous vehicle in the world to enable safe operation alongside other vehicles and objects. You will be responsible for the development of Zenuity’s simulation verification environment, and for verification testing of localization algorithms for safety critical autonomous vehicle systems for real production products. You will use agile processes, graphics and compute APIs and C++ code to develop this simulation environment which will simulate autonomous vehicle sensors, simulate 3D scenes based on real world data, and model tailored situations to enable specific test scenarios. You will have direct access to test vehicles to rapidly experience your results first-hand. You will work on self-guided cross-functional Agile teams and interface internally with our User Experience (UX) Team where you will help make decisions.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- Past industry experience.
- Strong background and prior experience with Game Engines (e.g. Unity3d, Unreal Engine 4) or game development, 3D computer graphics, simulation, 3D modeling and computational geometry, and 3D scene creation from real world data.
- Experience interfacing with automotive AD sensors (RADAR, Camera, LIDAR, Ultrasonic, IMU) are also needed.
- Strong Python and C++ programming skills and be comfortable working in a Linux environment.
Beneficial skills and experience include automotive software background, NVIDIA experience and/or GPU programming experience, network communication protocols, and prior experience in requirements development, unit testing, and software integration, and experience with Git, JIRA and Confluence. Additionally, experience with Autonomous Vehicles, robotics, and/or UAVs is beneficial.
