What You Will Do

As a Features Development Engineer focusing on autonomous drive controls, you will be responsible for the invention, development, simulation, implementation, calibration, and testing of estimation and control algorithms for highly autonomous vehicles. You will use model-based design techniques and agile processes to develop real-time software and collateral. You will work in modern simulation environments and have direct access to vehicles to rapidly experience your results first-hand. You will work in self-guided teams and interface globally where you will help make decisions.

Must-have Skills

The successful applicant will hold a Master’s Degree, or preferably a PhD, in Mechatronics, Control Theory, Electrotechnics, Applied Physics or Applied Mathematics, along with 5-10 years of industry experience in developing software for real time applications. We expect you to have experience of control theory, especially linear systems, signal analysis, linear algebra and system identification. For this position, you will also need strong Matlab and Simulink programming skills.

Beneficial skills

Beneficial skills and experience include dSPACE Autobox, Canape, Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and AUTOSAR knowledge. Additionally, experience with vehicle dynamics, restraints, braking and steering systems and Professional/performance driving skills are a plus. It would also be beneficial, although not mandatory, with python, C, Java, C# and C++ programming skills.
