Probe Sourced Maps
Are you a software developer with true agile mindset? Are you a skilled programmer who wants to make things real? We are looking for a Developer to join our Probe Sourced Maps team, a key function within Autonomous Drive.
An up-to-date map is essential for autonomous drive vehicles. This can be created by means of using connected vehicles on the road as probes for collecting crowd sourced data that can be processed by a backend server in the cloud. The collect data typically consists of information collected from the onboard sensors, where the forward-looking camera is the minimal common sensor onboard all vehicles with active safety functions and beyond. The information from the vehicles are used for creating a map of landmarks such as lanes, traffic signs, and other Visual landmarks. This map will later be used for other vehicles for localization. The map should in the cloud should reflect the current status of the road.
Zenuity is looking for a developer who will work in an agile/scrum team for development and implementation of algorithms onboard vehicle and in the cloud, for the purpose of producing and maintaining an up-to-date probe sourced map. It is a truly crossfunctional effort that requires a mix of competences ranging from perception and computer vision, via mathematics and statistics, to cloud communication and handling of geospatial map data. The developer should be a driven person with a background in computer vision, mathematics, and/or machine learning. Solid programming skills are required, preferably in C/C++ and Python. The developer should be a team player prepared for close cooperation with the rest of the team and be used to share his/her knowledge.
o Being an active team member in a development team for the design, concept and implementation of algorithms for probe sourced maps
o Performance evaluation and optimization of algorithms
o Balancing performance with bandwidth and computational power in car vs clou
Required skills and competences:
o MSc or PhD in computer vision/image analysis, mathematics, or machine learning
o Strong skills in programming, Python and C/C++
o Hand-on-approach, positive attitude and self-motivated
Beneficial skills and experiences:
o Analyzing and manipulating geospatial data
o Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Docker
o Embedded SW
o Automotive industry, ISO26262 and ASIL
