What You Will Do
As a Features Development Engineer focusing on autonomous drive controls, you will be responsible for the invention, development, simulation, implementation, calibration, and testing of estimation and control algorithms for highly autonomous vehicles. You will use model-based design techniques and agile processes to develop real-time software and collateral. You will work in modern simulation environments and have direct access to vehicles to rapidly experience your results first-hand. You will work in self-guided teams and interface globally where you will help make decisions.
The successful applicant will hold a Master’s Degree in Mechatronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Applied Physics or Applied Mathematics, along with at least 5 years of industry experience in developing software for systems where predictable and highly reliable operations are essential. For this position you also require at least 2 years experience in working with Functional Safety standards (ISO 26262).
Skills and experience in Ada related programming languages are beneficial. It would also be beneficial, although not mandatory with experience from vehicle dynamics, restraints, braking and steering systems. Professional/ performance driving skills are a plus.
