What You Will Do
As a Senior Mathematician Optimization and Stochastics focusing on sensor fusion, you will be part of an agile team developing, evaluating, implementing, integrating and testing fusion algorithms for multi-sensor multi-object tracking and track-to-track fusion. You will also be responsible for ensuring a robust tracking performance in variations of environmental and weather conditions, as well as using both high-end reference sensors and affordable automotive level sensors (radar, lidar, vision). You will work in modern simulation environments and have direct access to vehicles to rapidly experience your results first-hand. You will be part of an agile company where development teams are responsible for all technical decisions regarding their product including the necessary synchronization with other regional or global teams.
A Master's Degree, or preferably a PhD, in Mathematics, Signal Processing or similar, with a focus on optimization and stochastics along with at least 5 years of industry experience in developing software for real time applications in that domain. You are skilled in software development and have theoretical knowledge as well as practical experience with a subset of the following:
- System-/Parameteridentification and Estimation
- Mathematical Programming/Optimization
- Signal Processing
- Kalman filters and Bayesian estimation theory
Beneficial, but not mandatory skills and experience include Matlab, Python, Functional Safety (ISO 26262), MISRA Standars, Autosar, LAF, Automotive Bus Systems (CAN, Flexray, Ethernet), ADTF, SPICE, ASIL
