CAE HiL Engineer

The specific mission of the CAE team
Is to provide suitable and comprehensive virtual test environments for Active Safety and Autonomous Driving projects, seamlessly integrated into the continuous integration tool chain, to enable fast feedback and transparency in an agile working environment.
What You Will Do
As a CAE engineer, you will maintain existing XiL solutions, which are used for the validation of functions for Active Safety and Autonomous Driving. You will be responsible for design and implementation of simulation models into XiL environment and assure the validation of the developed models.
You will also integrate XiL environment into a continuous integration process and introduce the simulation environments to function developers, software engineers and testers. You will work in modern simulation environments and have direct access to vehicles to rapidly experience your results first-hand.
You will work in self-guided teams and interface regionally and globally where you will be an integral part of the decision making process.
Skills and requirements
The successful applicant will hold a BSc, or higher, in computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics or a related field of study, along with industry experience in developing model-based software for real time applications.
You will have a strong theoretical background of algorithms and data structures and experience of model development and model calibration. You should be familiar with scenario-based simulation tools such as IPG CarMaker, dSPACE ASM, VTD Vires or similar.
We expect you to have experience in common automotive communication protocols (CAN, Flexray, AutomotiveEthernet). It would be highly beneficial if you also have experience in Active Safety and Autonomous Driving, sensor physics, AUTOSAR.
For this role you also need strong skills in C++, C and Python programming skills.
