Software Engineer - Connected Vehicle Functions
Features – Gothenburg, Sweden
Does the full development life cycle appeal to you? Do you want to contribute to how connectivity and system integration will put self driving cars into production? Our connected safety teams want to connect with you.
What You Will Do
You are part of a cross-functional team that delivers new smart safety and convenience functions before managers and customers have had a chance to ask for them. You develop new connected vehicle functions to improve safety and automated driving.
Together with your team, you deliver compelling prototypes as a natural waypoint towards deployment to vehicle products. You contribute to innovation, concept development, application design, prototyping, testing, and production ready implementation. As part of the team, you take joint responsibility for the complete feature that you deliver together: vehicle function, connectivity, and cloud back-end information processing.
Working in a cross-functional team with broad responsibilities demands that you explore potentially new areas and skills as a software engineer, such as test-harness or prototype HMI development to help others understand the full benefit of your new functions. You appreciate, every now and then, to be challenged with some new technology or method that is needed to realize the next great idea.
Who are you?
You are creative, analytical, persistent, and motivated to make new ideas real, in a team with equally high ambitions. Previous experience from automotive helps you in system integrations. You think that cars are exciting products with a big impact on people’s lives and you enjoy making them even smarter and safer with the help of information from other vehicles and infrastructure.
Connectivity is changing the vehicle industry and its role in society. Your team is in the center of that transition.
