Our Decision & Control Team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer! The Decision & Control Team at Zenuity develops algorithms that use map data, perception/sensor information and motion planning commands to make autonomous driving decisions relating to traffic behavior, object avoidance and driving laws that allow the autonomous vehicle to safely function alongside other vehicles and objects, static and dynamic. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Decision & Control Team, you will help develop robust, high quality, safety-critical automotive software for production automotive programs. You will be responsible for supporting Algorithm Engineers and aid in implementation, integration, and testing of motion planning software algorithms in C++ in a Linux environment. You will use SCRUM/Agile processes and C++ code to develop software and collateral and have direct access to test vehicles to rapidly experience your results first-hand. You will work on a self-guided cross-functional Agile team and interface internally where you will help make decisions. You will also mentor the team on technical issues, tools, and processes as necessary.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering
- 10+ years of software experience is required
- Strong C++ programming skills, knowledge of advanced topics in C++
- Knowledge of Multi-threading/concurrent applications
- Experience with design principles, debugging and working with Linux-based debuggers, and conducting code reviews.
- Experience creating and maintaining build environments/automation using tools like CMake/Make and strong experience with version control, preferably Git
- Experience with requirements development, unit testing, and software integration.
Beneficial skills and experience include a background with fully autonomous vehicles, and tools like Jira, Confluence, and static code checking tools. Past experience with AUTOSAR, ASPICE, and ISO26262 are highly beneficial. Additionally, experience with network communication protocols and good knowledge of Python, robotics and/or UAVs, and experience developing software for safety-critical applications is beneficial. The ideal candidate will also have experience with recent NVIDIA GPUs, and QNX. Automotive Industry experience.
