WHAT YOU WILL DO
Our Behavior Planning Team is looking for a Simulation Verification Engineer! The Behavior Planning Team at Zenuity develops algorithms that use map data and perception/sensor and motion planning information to make autonomous driving decisions relating to traffic behavior, object avoidance and driving laws that allow the autonomous vehicle to safely function alongside other vehicles and objects, static and dynamic. You will be responsible for the development of Zenuity’s simulation verification environment, and for verification testing of behavior planning algorithms for safety critical autonomous vehicle systems for real production products. You will use agile processes, graphics and compute APIs and C++ code to develop this simulation environment which will connect algorithms developed by the Behavior Planning, Motion Planning, and Vehicle Control Teams. You will have direct access to test vehicles to rapidly experience your results first-hand. You will work on self-guided cross-functional Agile teams and interface internally with our User Experience (UX) Team where you will help make decisions.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or similar is required. This position requires some past industry experience. You must have a strong background and prior experience with Game Engines (e.g. Unity3d, Unreal Engine 4) or game development. Experience interfacing with automotive AD sensors (RADAR, Camera, LIDAR, Ultrasonic, IMU) are also needed. You must also have experience with OpenGL or other graphics APIs. You must have C++ programming skills and be comfortable working in a Linux environment.
Beneficial skills and experience include 3D computer graphics, 3D modeling and computational geometry, and 3D scene creation from real world data. Automotive software background, NVIDIA experience and/or GPU programming experience, Python, network communication protocols are also beneficial. Prior experience in requirements development, unit testing, and software integration, and experience with Git, JIRA and Confluence are desirable. Additionally, experience with Autonomous Vehicles, robotics, and/or UAVs is beneficial.
