WHAT YOU WILL DO
Our Dynamic Environment Team is looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer! The Dynamic Environment Team at Zenuity develops algorithms that fuse sensor (camera, RADAR, LIDAR, Ultrasonic, etc.) data to detect, classify, and track moving objects around the autonomous vehicle to enable safe operation alongside other vehicles and objects. As an Embedded Software Engineer on the Dynamic Environment Team, you will help develop robust, high quality, safety-critical automotive software for embedded targets for production automotive programs. You will be responsible for algorithm transformation, implementation, integration, and testing of Dynamic Environment fusion, object tracking, and occupancy grid algorithms and software and you will help launch our embedded architecture. You will use SCRUM/Agile processes and C/C++ code to develop real-time software and collateral and have direct access to test vehicles to rapidly experience your results first-hand. You will work on a self-guided cross-functional team and interface globally where you will help make decisions. You will also mentor the team on technical issues, tools, and processes as necessary.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science is required, but a Master’s is preferred, and 10+ years of automotive industry experience is required. You must have a strong background and prior experience developing automotive software for safety-critical applications. Strong experience with AUTOSAR, ASPICE, and ISO26262 are needed. It is critical that you are a very strong C and C++ developer and have experience working with multiple IDEs, compilers and microprocessors, scripting languages and build environments/automation. The ideal candidate will also have experience with recent NVIDIA GPUs, XILINX/FPGAs, QNX, requirements development, unit testing, and software integration.
Beneficial skills and experience include background with fully autonomous vehicles, knowledge of AD/ADAS vehicle sensors (camera, RADAR, LIDAR, IMUs, GPS, ultrasonic) and prior experience with Git, Jira and Confluence. You will benefit from being very comfortable working in Linux, Windows and Mac environments. Additionally, experience with robotics, and/or UAVs is beneficial.
