Our teams are looking for a Systems Engineer! With elevated responsibility for the safety and comfort of our customers, we utilize a system-level approach with innovation, which drives the team to be highly involved in system integration, vehicle hardware, and actuators.

As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the end to end experience for the Vehicle Control sub-system, including sub-system architecture, design, requirements capture, development and definition, algorithm development, and in-vehicle testing for our Vehicle Control sub-system which is part of our safety critical autonomous vehicle system for real production products. You will work closely with the Systems Architects to assure the Vehicle Control sub-system is defined in alignment with the larger system architecture and goals and that the design meets Functional Safety requirements. You will work on self-guided cross-functional Agile teams, using agile processes to develop real-time software design collateral. You will be exposed to modern simulation environments and test vehicles to rapidly experience our results first-hand.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science is required, but a Master’s is preferred. This position is open to candidates with industry experience. You must have a background and prior experience developing system and/or sub-system architecture, software design, and requirements which are clear, concise, unambiguous, and testable. You must also have prior experience developing safety critical requirements or working on systems that are safety critical in nature.
Beneficial skills and experience include knowledge of automotive actuators and controls for autonomous vehicles (steering, braking, etc.), experience with a requirement capture tool (e.g. System Weaver), past experience with ISO 26262, experience with C / C++ and Matlab / Simulink, AUTOSAR knowledge, system and software testing, and integration, and experience with Git, JIRA and Confluence. Additionally, experience with robotics, ROS, and/or UAVs is beneficial.
