WHAT YOU WILL DO 

Our User Experience team is looking for a UX/HMI Connectivity Software Engineer to join us in developing software for several UI cloud connected components. The UX team at Zenuity is responsible to envision and develop innovative experiences in and around the self driving vehicle following a human centered design methodology. You will develop prototpyses using several technologies and communication protocols (RESTful, MQTT, XMPP, etc.). You understand and can use different data brokers / Cloud services. You will use agile process to architect and develop complex UI software Interfaces. You would wear multiple hats, we enjoy the prototyping and tinkering stages, as well as the rigor of making solutions production-ready. You will work on a self-guided cross-functional team and collaborate with Perception and Behavior planning development engineers to create the interfaces of the HX/HMI software and integrate it to the vehicle. 

MUST-HAVE SKILLS 

B.S. or M.S. in computer science, software engineering or equivalent, plus 5+ years of industry experience. You must have skills in C++, Qt/QML, JavaScript, Java, and or HTML5/CSS, C#. Past experience with IoT systems and devices is needed. Knowledge of communication mechanisms like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, NFC, etc is required. You also must have knowledge of different protocols (UDP, TCP, IPv4, etc..). Working level knowledge of single-board microcontroller / computers (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi, BeagleBoard, chipKIT... etc.) for the rapid development of digital devices is a must have. Ability to learn and develop with new SDKs/IDEs, programming languages is needed. You must maintain high standards of software quality within the team by following good practices and habits. You must have the ability to collaborate with other software developers to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain applications. You also must have the ability to collaborating with internal cross-functional teams and suppliers to design, develop, document, and maintain software deliverables for various projects. You must be able to manage individual workload and deliver to established project milestones. You must be self-motivated with a persistent desire to learn and understand the unknown. In addition, you must maintain an open mind to the perspectives of others and the possibility of all things. 

EXTRA SKILLS 

Game development, Unity3D and Unreal experience are desirable. OpenGL experience is also desirable. Beneficial skills and experience include tools like Jira, Confluence, and static code checking tools. Additionally, experience with network communication protocols and good knowledge of Python is beneficial. Prior experience with Git, Gerrit. You will benefit from being very comfortable working in Linux as well as Windows environments.
