WHAT YOU WILL DO
Our UX/HMI team is looking for a Senior Connectivity Engineer to act as a domain expert and join us in architecting and developing solutions for several cloud connected IoT components. The UX/HMI team at Zenuity is responsible to envision and develop innovative experiences in and around the self driving vehicle following a human centered design methodology. You will develop software using several technologies and communication protocols across the whole software stack. You will work on a motivated results oriented team using an agile process. You will wear multiple hats, we believe in using the right tool for the problem at hand, so you will work with many different languages, libraries, frameworks, and technologies. You will have an impact on how and what we build. You will work on a self-guided cross-functional team and collaborate with other teams to integrate your software with the autonomous vehicle system.
B.S. or M.S. in computer science, software engineering or equivalent plus 5+ years of industry experience.
Advanced proficiency in Object Oriented Languages such as C++, C#, Java, etc are required.
Past experience with IoT systems and devices is required.
Past experience with cloud systems is required.
Knowledge of communication mechanisms like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, NFC, etc are required.
Knowledge of data protocols like UDP, TCP, MQTT, IPv4, etc are required.
Ability to quickly learn and develop with new SDKs, IDEs, and programming languages is needed.
Ability to collaborate with other engineers to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain software.
Experience with Apcera runtime environment.
Experience with Docker Containers.
Experience with Apache Kafka.
Expereince with Redis and Postgres SQL databases.
Experience with Java Spring Framework.
Experience with Qt development.
Experience with game development using Unity3D, Unreal, or OpenGL.
Experience with mobile development for Android and iOS.
Experience with documentation tools like Jira, Confluence.
Experience with source control tools like Git and Gerrit.
Comfortable in different operating systems such as Linux, OSX, and Windows.
Working level knowledge of single-board microcontroller / computers such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, BeagleBoard, chipKIT, etc.
