About the role
You will be part of Team Workshop Operations that consist of seven persons which are in charge of updating SW, maintaining, fault tracing and building our prototype vehicles. As part of the team, you will be able to work in many different aspects of the development process related to verification:
Main responsibilities
- Software update
- Configure and update the logging equipment in the vehicles. That includes flashing the ECUs, troubleshooting and supporting our development teams in their usage of vehicles
- Vehicle diagnosis, debug bus communications
- Fault tracing in built in equipment and harness
- On field vehicle support
- Setup, commission, calibrate and update the vehicle's sensors
- Sporadically do some mechanical work on the vehicle interior/exterior, like assembling vehicle trim, bumpers and wheels
Qualifications
- Engineer or Technician with practical skills with 10 years of experience, within some of the areas Electrical/Mechanical/Software
- English language is mandatory and Swedish is considered a plus
- Driving license B
- Willingness to travel, around 5-10 days a year
Beneficial skills
- Knowledge of vehicle networks, CAN, FlexRay, Ethernet
- Experience with test tools, e.g. CANoe
- Experience working with Volvo vehicles
