Product Area Collision Avoidance is an organization which develops software features that help and protect the driver by keeping the vehicle on the road and preventing collisions, as well as by monitoring the driver state and attention level. Such ADAS features, already saving lives every year all over the world, are necessary for making Autonomous Drive (AD) functionality real.
Members of our cross-functional teams are true software craftspeople and fully committed to deliver high performing features to our customers. The teams share total accountability for the products and live by the motto ‘you will never walk alone’.
Your mission & day-to-day tasks
In this role, you will influence the direction of the ADAS products within an exciting industry. You and your team will have as mission to save lives and shape the future of mobility by:
- Design, optimize and develop flexible and scalable software features using a test-driven approach, from customer requirements to car deployment
- Working closely with other teams to ensure the quality and safety of your deliveries to customers
- Acting with an innovation mindset where you challenge ‘the way it has always been done’
Your background & experience
You have strong professional experience within embedded software development where real-time algorithms are taken in as requirements and realized into software features, preferably in an agile, team-based development environment. You complete the teams’ competence profiles with a background of working with software architecture, different design patterns and code structure. It is also very meritorious if you have been using a DevOps approach in your software engineering where updates continuously are integrated into an automatic testing machinery. We would like you to have a test-driven and safety-oriented attitude, a car driving interest, but most important of all – a growing mindset.
